Overview
RIX Asset Maintenance (RAM) were contracted by Roads and Maritime Services (RMS) to undertake rock fall protection works on the M1 Motorway, Helensburgh, NSW.
Solution
The works comprised the installation of 15,000m2 Geobrugg Deltax Drape, 1.3km of Geobrugg T010 fence, 350m2 of shotcrete and 500m of fibrecrete catch drains to cuttings on the North and Southbound lanes.
All drilling works were undertaken on night shift with full lane closures. A RAM high reach production drill was used to drill anchors up to 14m height with a combination of EWP and Rope Access.
