Overview
RIX Asset Maintenance (RAM) were awarded the contract to install the Geobrugg Minax Rock Fall Protection system to mitigate rock fall hazard around 5 portals at a gold mine in Kalgoorlie, Western Australia. RAM received commendations from the client for the fast mobilisation time and for completing the installation without incident.
Solution
All of the 10m Gewi Bar anchors were installed by Jumbo Drill with grouting by RAM. The Drape system was installed top down by RAM IRATA crew with a crane utilised to position all mesh rolls at the top of each of the portals.
